Samsara a Didi26 Plywood constructed Sailing Boat ran aground at Revdanda beach in April 2011. She was bought to the yard with her transom missing, Bulb keel ripped out of the Hull and a lot of damage to the sides. She was laid up for a period of 8 to 10 months to dry out naturally without using any external heat source, this was done with a view to avoid any distortion during dry out. Another 6 months were spent repairing, modifying damaged areas and reengineering the existing keel bolts & nuts to suit the reinforced keel area. Some pictures of the work done are enclosed. The Boat was launched in Jan 2013 after a complete refit & repairs.
